Hey there. I'm William "Nick" Brothers.

Throughout my entire career, I have followed my passion.

As far as I can tell, my mission in life has been to put the human experience into writing and sharing it with anyone willing to read it. I have a passion for words and the power they wield. There’s joy in uncovering a perfectly succinct statement, and I approach brand marketing with gusto. I feel aligned in stating who I am — a creative, a writer and a big ol' music nerd.

Early on, I worked tirelessly as a journalist. I first found my calling for the written word as a journalism student at the University of Arkansas. I pursued my passion working as the Features Editor at the Arkansas Traveler student newspaper (rebranding my section "The Companion" — still proud of that) and then ran the show as Editor-In-Chief my senior year, '13-'14.

Following graduation, I scored the gig as Managing Editor at The Free Weekly in Fayetteville, AR. I worked there for three years, interviewing tastemakers, writing impassioned editorials, covering events, and meeting content deadlines every week. I wrote about my town like a novel, profiling the characters within. After three years at TFW, I moved to Austin to take on Hill Country News as Managing Editor, where I chronicled the news and events of Austin's rapidly growing suburban city.

At SelfMade, a tech marketing startup servicing entrepreneurs, I found my calling for advertising and brand copywriting. It's just way too fun.

As a Content Strategist at SelfMade, I cultivated an impactful client experience through multi-channel marketing and spearheaded our email marketing training program. E-Commerce is a thrilling industry to be in, and it's now my mission to become a master of the burgeoning digital marketplace landscape, bringing a unique creative direction to give my clients standout next-level results.

When I'm not busy thinking up the next great tagline, I have a passion for playing music and supporting live music. I'm a songwriter and I play the guitar, piano, violin and I sing. I also collect vinyl records. It makes sense I call Austin home, right?
